SPEAKERS


Brandi Anders, PharmD, BCOP is an oncology clinical pharmacist at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, NC. She practices as a clinical pharmacist practitioner in stem cell transplant and cellular therapy and splits her time between the inpatient and outpatient settings. Brandi graduated from ETSU Gatton College of Pharmacy and then completed her PGY1 and PGY2 oncology residencies at WVU Medicine (formerly WVU Healthcare) in Morgantown, WV. She is originally from Marion, VA and loves spending time outside with her family and dogs.


Miranda Benefield, PharmD, BCOP

Dr. Miranda Benfield is a clinical pharmacist at Levine Cancer Institute, where she specializes in gynecologic oncology. She earned her undergraduate degree from NC State University and her Doctor of Pharmacy from Wingate University. Dr. Benfield went on to complete both her PGY1 and PGY2 residencies at Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center and Levine Cancer Institute, joining the LCI team in July 2021.

Her clinical interests focus on gestational trophoblastic neoplasms and endometrial cancer—areas where she is deeply passionate about advancing patient care. Outside of work, Miranda enjoys spending time with her husband, Corey, and their dog, Lizzie. Together, they love golfing, traveling, and are always up for a trip to Disney.



Kara Boysel, PharmD, BCOP

Kara Boysel is an experienced pediatric hematology/oncology clinical pharmacist with over 15 years of experience within the field of pharmacy. She graduated from the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy and completed her PGY1 and oncology PGY2 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. Kara started her career at Atrium Health in the adult oncology area and transitioned into the specialty area of pediatrics shortly after. Currently, she serves as a pediatric hematology/oncology clinical specialist where she participates in precepting for both pharmacy residents and students and she strives daily to provide excellent medication management and care to each of her patients and their families.



Catie Cash, PharmD, BCOP earned her PharmD from UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy after which she completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency and her PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency at Wake Forest Baptist Health, now Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. She currently works as a Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Duke University Hospital. She remains an active member of both HOPA and ASTCT, serving on the HOPA Education Committee and the ASTCT Pharmacy SIG Research Committee. Catie also currently serves as the principal violist in the Durham Medical Orchestra and in her free time enjoys long distance running and snuggling with her golden retriever, Petty. 



Austyn Grim PharmD, BCOP

Austyn Grim is a board certified Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in pediatric oncology at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. Austyn completed her residency training at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, specializing in pediatric oncology during her second residency year. Austyn has been a practicing pediatric oncology clinical pharmacy specialist for the past six years. Thus far in her career, she has taken an interest in oncologic supportive care, medication safety, and quality improvement initiatives. She is an active member of the Children’s Oncology Group and has enjoyed the opportunity to collaborate in various pediatric oncology initiatives with the Pediatric Pharmacy Association.



Aimee Faso, PharmD, BCOP

Aimee Faso, PharmD, CPP, BCOP is a clinical pharmacist practitioner in breast oncology at the North Carolina Cancer Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC. She received her PharmD degree from the University of Florida in 2003 and completed residency at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in 2004. She joined UNC as an oncology pharmacist in 2008 and has now been working with the UNC breast team since 2014. She also serves as an adjunct faculty member at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy and is a Clinical Associate Professor at the UNC School of Nursing.



Vincent Harris, PharmD, BCOP

Vincent Harris, PharmD, BCOP is the CNS/Genitourinary oncology clinical pharmacist at Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institue. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. He then completed a PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center followed by a PGY-2 pharmacy oncology residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital. During his free time, Vincent enjoys spending time with friends and family.


Donald Moore, PharmD, BCPS, BCOP, DPLA, FCCP, FASHP is the Clinical Oncology Pharmacy Manager and a practicing hematology clinical pharmacist at Atrium Health Levine Cancer in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dr. Moore graduated from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston in 2012. He then completed a PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency at Steward St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston in 2013. He is a graduate of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacy (ASHP) Foundation Pharmacy Leadership Academy. Dr. Moore has been recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) and American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). Dr. Moore serves as a Section Editor for the Journal of Hematology Oncology Pharmacy, the official journal of HOPA.


Chris Parish, PharmD

Chris Parish attended the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and then completed PGY1 Pharmacy and PGY2 Oncology residencies at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Since residency, he has practiced as the classical hematology and blood factor stewardship pharmacist at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. His research and practice interests include blood factor stewardship and implementation of gene therapies for classical hematology indications. In his free time, Chris enjoys reading, spending time with friends at breweries, and going on walks with Max the mini Bernie-Doodle.


Breanna Taylor, PharmD, BCOP

Breanna Taylor is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Malignant Hematology and Transplantation/Cellular Therapy at Novant Health Cancer Institute. She serves as the Residency Program Coordinator for the Accredited PGY-2 Oncology Residency at Novant Health-Charlotte.  She received her Bachelor of Sciences degree in Biology from the University of Central Florida and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University College of Pharmacy. Thereafter, she completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Mayo Clinic in Florida and PGY-2 Oncology Residency at Duke University Hospital.  She is Board-certified in Oncology and has a focused interest in malignant hematology and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. She is also an active member of the American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy (ASTCT) Pharmacy Sig, currently serving on the Membership and Communications Committee.
